Terms of Service

Welcome to Stashville. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Stashville is a web-based city-builder where activity in your real development projects (commits, coding sessions, ticket transitions and similar events) earns in-game currency that you spend to grow a personal city. The Service is provided as-is and is currently in active development; features may change, be added, or be removed.
2. Accounts
You may create an account using GitHub OAuth or an email and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
3. Your Content and Activity Data
When you connect GitHub or install our daemon, you grant Stashville permission to ingest activity metadata about your work — repository names, commit timestamps, file paths you have authorized, ticket transitions, and similar signals — solely for the purpose of rendering your city and providing the Service. You retain ownership of your underlying code and content. We do not read or store the contents of your source files except where strictly required by an integration you have explicitly enabled.
4. Virtual Goods and Currency
In-game coins, buildings, decorations, and other virtual items have no real-world monetary value, are not redeemable for cash, and remain part of the Service. We may adjust earning rates, balance economy parameters, or reset in-game state during development or in response to abuse.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) submit fabricated or automated activity events designed to inflate earnings; (b) attempt to access another user's city, account, or data; (c) reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; (d) use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm other users; (e) use the Service in violation of any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers (including GitHub, Better Auth, Inngest, Resend, and Sentry) to provide authentication, background processing, email delivery, and error monitoring. Your use of those features is also governed by the providers' own terms and privacy policies.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or where required by law. On termination, your in-game state, virtual currency, and items may be deleted.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stashville and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
